Probably Stolen Plasma Cartridge Condition: Demo & 1.0
Inspect casing condition, plasma color and the eligible manufacturer bonus, then apply the minimum. Check your manual’s version first: the Demo and release use different appraisal values.

Do not mix Demo and release numbers
| Appraisal rule | Demo reference | Release reference |
|---|---|---|
| Starting value | 100 Credits | 300 Credits |
| Minimum result | 30 Credits | 90 Credits |
| IGN bonus, if all conditions qualify | +80 Credits | +750 Credits |
These are handbook appraisal values, not a fixed retail sale price. The release bonus is not a simple ×3 conversion of every Demo rule.
Read the cartridge in this order
- 01
Match the manual to your version
Use the actual handbook from your build when calculating an estimate. An old calculator may have a different baseline before you enter any condition.
- 02
Choose one wear category
Decide between pristine, light and heavy wear. Do not add light and heavy wear penalties to the same cartridge.
- 03
Check other casing features separately
Look for cracks, exposed screws and reinforcement. These are separate from the wear category.
- 04
Compare the plasma color
Use the real handbook’s visual reference. This page’s decorative battery symbol is not a color or authenticity example.
- 05
Check every manufacturer condition
A logo alone is not enough for a conditional bonus. Add only an eligible bonus, then apply the minimum to the final total.
Release condition adjustments
| Observed condition | Appraisal adjustment |
|---|---|
| Light wear / heavy wear | −45 / −90; choose the applicable wear category. |
| Cracks / exposed screws | −150 / −30. |
| Reinforcement | +60. |
| Standard / high / poor color | 0 / +150 / −150. |
Light wear can be easy to miss
In the early Steam discussion, players suggest comparing the casing’s edge lines: pristine examples look straight, while light wear can appear subtly wavy or smudged. Compare the same area at the same zoom.
That thread predates release. Its visual advice does not make its old prices current. Open the linked manual for its illustrated color and manufacturer conditions before submitting an estimate.
Common questions
Why does my old Plasma Cartridge calculator give a different result?
The Demo and release manuals use different starting values, minimums and manufacturer bonuses. Check the version before changing your condition assessment.
Should I count both light and heavy wear?
No. Select one wear category, then consider cracks, screws, reinforcement, color and any eligible bonus separately.
Is appraisal value the final selling price?
No. The manual’s appraisal calculation and the actual retail deal are different quantities.
